Minneapolis Athena is a non-profit organization that has 15 volunteer members. The Athena Committee serves 55 schools across the metropolitan area.

Mission: To honor and recognize the outstanding senior young female athlete from each metropolitan, suburban and private schools in Minneapolis and extended areas.

The purpose of requesting support to Athena:

- Keep banquet ticket costs down

- Rental of the Convention Center

- Award Ceremony Cost

- Recognition Award for each winner

- Memory book for each winner

- Photographer costs

- Program enhancements
